The Buena Vista Landfill is a Class III landfill operating under State of California Solid Waste Facilities Permit from the CIWMB (California Integrated GreenWaste Recovery Board). The Ben Lomond Transfer Station also operates under State of California Solid Waste Facilities Permit from the CIWMB. The Buena Vista Landfill is equipped with an environmental liner system exceeding Federal Subtitle D and State of California standards, including a leachate collection and removal system and a 4 layer composite liner.
The Buena Vista Landfill is a recipient of the Solid Waste Association of 1997 Silver Award for Landfill Excellence. The Ben Lomond Transfer Station is a recipient of the Solid Waste Association of North America 1998 Bronze Award for Transfer Station Excellence.
Materials accepted at the Buena Vista Landfill are Class III non-hazardous residential, commercial and industrial waste, dewatered sewage sludge and low-level petroleum contaminated soils.
Materials accepted at the Ben Lomond Transfer Station are Class III non-hazardous residential, commercial and industrial waste. |
